Grabeth Sales and Service is looking for a well rounded accounting assistant to join our team in our Odessa office. This person will assist in various accounting, payroll, and administrative procedures to ensure Grabeth’s overall financial health.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in office administration, payroll, working with executives, accounting, and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Duties

• Full cycle Accounts Payable responsibilities including but not limited to:
  • Accurate and efficient processing of credit applications.
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and vendor payments.
  • Ensure proper documentation and authorization for all invoices and payments.
  • Prepare and process check runs, electronic transfers, auto drafts, and ACH payments.
  • Build and maintain a healthy and professional relationship with vendors.
  • Address and resolve any discrepancies, disputes, and/or issues with vendors or internal departments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements.
  • Enter credit cards.
  • Respectful and professional customer service to internal and external vendors, coworkers, etc.
• Post factoring entries and banking duties.
• Backfill and assist with various accounting duties as assigned by management.
• Perform special projects and any other duties as assigned by management.
• Assist with modernizing accounting processes and procedures.
• This is an evolving position, and duties are subject to change and be modified based on the overall company needs and modernization of the accounting department.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and changes to procedures in a positive manner.

Requirements:

• Excellent written and verbal communications
• Ability to handle information confidentially 
• Familiarity with accounting software preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel
• Proven experience meeting regular deadlines
